Application Deadline for 2017-2018 ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize Extended to January 5, 2018

The application period for high school students to apply for the ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize in High School Computing has been extended to January 5, 2018.
Every year, the ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize in High School Computing recognizes talented high school students in computer science. The intent of the program is to promote and encourage the field of computer science, as well as to empower young and aspiring learners to pursue computing challenges outside of the traditional classroom environment.
The application process involves a Challenge that focuses on having the student develop an artifact that engages modern computing technology and computer science. Judges will be looking for submissions that demonstrate ingenuity, complexity, relevancy, originality, and a desire to further computer science as a discipline. Encourage interested students to check out last year's winners and their projects for inspiration.
Up to four winners will be selected and each will be awarded a $10,000 prize and a trip to the annual ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize in High School Computing Reception. The prizes are funded by a $1 million endowment established by David Cutler and Gordon Bell.
