Featured Safari Title: Learning Spark
Learning Spark introduces an open source cluster computing system that makes data analytics fast to run and fast to write. You'll learn how to run programs faster, using primitives for in-memory cluster computing. With Spark, your job can load data into memory and query it repeatedly much quicker than with disk-based systems like Hadoop MapReduce. You'll learn how to express MapReduce jobs with just a few simple lines of Spark code, instead of spending extra time and effort working with Hadoop's raw Java API.

This is just one of 700 award-winning, best-selling technical books, full-length video courses, and O'Reilly Conference videos from Safari Books Online in ACM's eBook collection, by leading publishers such as O'Reilly Media, Manning and many more. All members (Student and Professional) can access them through the ACM Learning Center eBook catalog as well as the ACM Digital Library.

Featured MK Title: Mastering Cloud Computing
Mastering Cloud Computing is designed for undergraduate students learning to develop cloud computing applications. Tomorrow's applications won't live on a single computer but will be deployed from and reside on a virtual server, accessible anywhere, any time. Tomorrow's application developers need to understand the requirements of building apps for these virtual systems, including concurrent programming, high-performance computing, and data-intensive systems.

This is just one of nearly 500 titles from publishers Morgan Kaufmann (MK) and Syngress in ACM's eBook collection, covering the most bleeding-edge topics in computing, such as Big Data, Cybersecurity, Human-Computer Interaction, Parallel Computing, and more. The books are available in PDF (and some in ePub) and are downloadable to your desktop, laptop, tablet, and any popular eBook reader on your mobile device. All members (Student and Professional) can access them through the ACM Learning Center eBook catalog as well as the ACM Digital Library.
