Register for July 30 Webcast with George Neville-Neil: "What Time Is It? A Guide to Time for Software Developers"
If you haven't yet done so, register now for "What Time Is It? A Guide to Time for Software Developers", presented on Thursday, July 30 at noon ET by George Neville-Neil, owner of Neville-Neil Consulting and Chair of the ACM Practitioner Board. In this talk, George covers the basics of computer-based timekeeping, including what makes it difficult, what can be expected from commodity systems, and where we are with efforts to improve the state of the art. Terry Coatta, CTO of Marine Learning Systems and Chair of the ACM Queue Case Study Committee, moderates.

Available on Demand: "Are You Getting Traction? Tales from the Tech Transfer Trenches"
If you missed it live, catch "Are You Getting Traction? Tales from the Tech Transfer Trenches" on demand. Satish Chandra, of Samsung Electronics, shares the experiences he had in interacting with these constituencies; sometimes successful experiences, but at other times not so successful ones. The webinar focuses broadly on tools in two areas: bug finding and test automation. Satish also makes some observations on when tech transfer works and when it stumbles.

This course is part of a series that prepares the learner for CompTIA Linux+ exam LX0-101 and Linux Professional Institute (LPI) LPIC-1 Junior Level Administrator exam 101.
