Mailing Labels
Each year, ACM chapters are entitled to receive a free set of mailing labels for the ACM members in their geographic area, in exchange for a copy of the chapter's membership roster. To get the free set of labels, use the online form, or download, fill out, and send a copy to the Local Activities Coordinator by email, fax, or mail. (You'll find all contact information on the form itself.) The request may take up to two weeks to process.

Publicity
ACM headquarters would welcome the opportunity to publicize newsworthy events.

MemberNet is a quarterly paper of ACM news, which is sent to all ACM members along with their issues of Communications of the ACM. Items of wide interest may be submitted for publication by writing to chapters@acm.org.
Submissions should generally be limited to 1400 characters (200 words). Photographs must be high quality, black and white glossy finish with captions attached. Use of photos will depend on available space and quality of photos submitted. The responsibility for editorial screening to ensure that items are appropriate, fit the allocated space, and conform to ACM policy rests with the Membership Activities Board and its designated reviewer. Professional staff at ACM Headquarters will copy-edit manuscripts.

Some examples of newsworthy items include the following:

Roster of ACM Key People
Distributed annually and upon request. This roster gives names, addresses and telephone numbers of ACM Council members and other key people, including Chapter chairpersons. The roster should be kept with this handbook.

Recognition of Service Certificates
Recognition of service certificates for outgoing chairpersons who have served at least one year in office will be issued free of charge upon written request. Certificates for other officers will be issued on a cost recovery basis. The ACM President and Secretary sign these certificates. Send your request to chapters@acm.org

Depository for Bylaws
Headquarters coordinates the initial processing petitions and bylaws for new chapters and the processing of processing of bylaw amendments with the Membership Activities Board, and issues a hand-lettered Certificate of Charter when a chapter is chartered. Copies of each chapter's bylaws are kept on file at Headquarters, and are available upon request.

Financial Guidance
Each chapter is required to submit a statement of Cash Receipts and Disbursements every year. The Local Activities Director can answer most general questions about the form, as well as other basic questions regarding financial management. Questions more complex in nature should be directed to ACM controller. All inquiries from the IRS to the chapter should be directed to the ACM Director of Finance.

ACM Business Insurance Coverage
