ACM Computing Week 96

The Site

You are invited to one of the country's most surprising new cities Philadelphia! The past few years have brought an amazing renaissance to the Home of America's Birthplace (as well as the beginning of the Computing Age with the creation of ENIAC in 1946!) Philadelphia has been designated as the best restaurant city in the United States by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler Magazine; the safest city in the United States by the Federal Bureau of Investigation statistics 1994; and the friendliest city in the country by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine as well!

Visit historic Independence national Park or shop the exclusive boutiques and stores around Rittenhouse Square. Visit the second largest collection of Rodin outside of Paris at the Rodin Museum or for the more adventurous, run up the "Rocky steps" at the Philadelphia Museum of Art! Take in a concert by the renowned Philadelphia Orchestra or pick a play or musical from the offering along the glittering new Avenue of the Arts. You might decide for a walk down South Street, Philadelphia's "mini Greenwich Village" or stop at one of the hot new nightspots along the Delaware Avenue riverfront. Whichever choice you make, there is much to do at the end of a busy conference day!
