Doctoral Colloquium |

Due date: July 12, 2002The Doctoral Colloquium is a forum in which Ph.D. students can meet and discuss their work with each other and a panel of experienced CSCW researchers and practitioners. We welcome applicants from a broad range of disciplines and approaches that inform CSCW, including sociology, computer science, cognitive science, and related fields. Applicants should be beyond the proposal stage and into their dissertation research. The Colloquium committee will select approximately 10 participants who will be expected to give short, informal presentations of their work during the Colloquium, to be followed by a discussion. Submissions should be no longer than 2 pages, including an abstract of no more than 150 words and a description of the work in progress. In addition, a 2-3 paragraph biographical sketch should be supplied. Submissions should be formatted according to the ACM SIGCHI Conference Publications Format. (In addition to the templates CHI provides, there is a style file cscw2002.sty available for LaTeX users.) Doctoral Colloquium papers will be published in a booklet that will be
circulated to attendees at the conference; they will not be incorporated
