Due date: March 22, 2002 (See also Guide to Successful Paper Submissions)Papers should present original, unpublished research on technological mediation of activities affecting groups of people. Potential areas of interest include theory, methodology, empirical investigations, architectures, prototypes and experiences related to the development, deployment and use of computer systems supporting all aspects of shared activities, including, but not limited to, activities at work, in the home, in education, and the arts. Theory, methodology, systems and concept papers should present new theories, methodologies, empirical results, architectures, prototype systems, or design concepts that stimulate new ways of thinking about, studying or supporting, shared activities. Application and practice papers should describe experiences with systems that support shared activities. All papers should make the case, in the paper itself, for how the work relates to previous research or experience and what aspects of the work are new. Papers will be evaluated on the basis of originality, significance of the contribution to the field, quality of research, quality of writing and contribution to conference program diversity. Papers should be no longer than 10 pages, including the abstract, all figures and references, and should be formatted according to the ACM SIGCHI Conference Publications Format. (In addition to the templates CHI provides, there is a style file cscw2002.sty available for LaTeX users.) Papers should include an abstract of no more than 100 words. All authors' names and affiliations should be blanked out on the copy that is submitted for review. Final versions of papers should be formatted according to the instructions from the proceedings publisher, Sheridan Printing Company, Inc., available at http://www.sheridanprinting.com/typedept/cscw.htm CSCW 2002 required online submission, which is now closed. All questions should be directed to cscw2002-papers @ acm.org. All submissions must be received by the chairs by 5pm Pacific Standard
Time on Friday, March 22, 2002. Submissions received after this date will
not be considered. All submissions will be acknowledged by email. Authors who are submitting Papers are also encouraged to consider submitting
