Student VolunteersStudent Volunteers are a great source of information and assistance during the conference. Many are working on their Ph.D.s and some are looking for job opportunities. You will recognize Student Volunteers by a special CSCW Student Volunteer T-Shirt. AttireCasual dress will be appropriate throughout the conference. You may wish to bring semi-formal attire for the conference reception, but it is not required. The weather in Chicago varies widely - please plan accordingly. Message CenterMessage boards will be located near the registration area. AnnouncementsImportant announcements and schedule updates will be posted at various locations around the conference venue and on the CSCW web site. ComputingAn Internet room and wireless connections will be available. Please see the Computing page for more information. Electrical PowerElectrical power in the United States is 110 volts/60 cycles AC. CSCW does not provide power converters or adaptors. Coffee BreaksSnacks and beverages will be available during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks. There are many lunch and dinner options (not included in the conference fee) both in the hotel and in the surrounding area. Alcoholic BeveragesThe minimum legal drinking age in the United States is 21. Be prepared to show proof of age (passport or driver's license) if you wish to consume alcoholic beverages. Cell Phone CourtesyAs a courtesy to presenters and other attendees, please turn off cell phones and pagers in all sessions. Audio/Video RecordingThe use of audio or video recording equipment by conference attendees is not permitted during any part of the conference.
