Carolyn Wei

Carolyn Wei (wei@acm.org) is a PhD student in the Department of Technical Communication at the University of Washington. She holds a M.S. in Technical Communication from the University of Washington and a B.A. in History from Bryn Mawr College. For her master’s degree in Technical Communication, she wrote the thesis “The Challenges of Collaboration within a Virtual Team.” The research for that study grew out of her volunteer work for the virtual editorial team for Crossroads. Her research interests include virtual communities, computer-mediated communication, and human-computer interaction.
