Luz C. Cummings (luz@www.lcummings.com)was born in Panama, Central America, and lived there until the age of 24. Luz spent several years as an Army Medic; Her Spanish skills proved helpful when treating patients during "Operation Just Cause," in Panama. She is presently a Computer Science Major, at Austin Peay State University, Tennesseee. Luz first became intrigued by computers during the "dark ages," before "Windows," when users could not "click and go." During those days, users had to learn to write code to create applications for DBase and Lotus. This code appeared intimidating, but was nothing much more than concatenated strings. Because of this, learning to code in C++ has been one of her favorite subjects. Luz divides her time between school, a young son, and friends.
