Martin W. Margo

Martin W. Margo received his B.A. in Computer Science/Mathematics from University of California, San Diego in 2003. He will be receiving his M.S. in Computer Science from San Diego State University in 2006. From 2002, he is a member of HPC (High Performance Computing) group at San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) in La Jolla, CA. SDSC is a National Science Foundation (NSF) research lab for advancement of science and engineering.

He has been working with aggregate of 19 TF of supercomputers in the past. His duty includes planning, administering, installing, and troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, storage, security, OS, applications, exotic networks interconnect, and parallel file systems.

He is currently working as Grid and Scheduler engineer at SDSC where he builds and maintains 22,000 lines of supercomputer scheduler called Catalina, written in Python.

His interests are: job scheduling, parallel file systems, innovative systems, and high performance computing.
