Scott M. Lewandowski (scl@cs.brown.edu) is an undergraduate at Brown University pursuing degrees in Computer Science and Business Economics; he will be remaining at Brown to complete a Master's degree in Computer Science as well. At Brown he serves as a Head Teaching Assistant for a course on compiler theory and construction, a course on computer architecture, and the introductory computing course for non-majors. His current research involves cluster-based computing and Windows NT debugging. He is also interested in program instrumentation, performance monitoring, operating systems, frameworks and design patterns, distributed objects (especially DCOM), component-based client/server systems, serverless filesystems, and C++ language features. He also serves as the Information Director for ACM Computing Surveys. Some of Scott's interests include listening to music, golfing, downhill skiing, following the stock market, and high-performance automobiles.
