Wendy Gilbert

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wendy Gilbert (webpage) is a masters student in Computer Science at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in Huntsville, Texas. Wendy's current research interests involve cognitive science, neural networks, fuzzy logic, and artificial neurocognition. She expects to finish her masters in May of 2001 and will pursue a PhD in Computer Science upon completing her masters program. Wendy works as a full-time programmer at SHSU -- she develops programs used by staff, faculty, and students at SHSU and handles the back-end work for the university website. She is an active member of the Sam Houston Association of Computer Scientists and an outspoken advocate for women in CS on the SHSU campus. Wendy loves the outdoors and loves to travel. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, arguing with her friends, and virtually anything related to the science behind computer science.
