Mia Stern (stern@cs.umass.edu) is a doctoral student in the Center for Knowledge Communications in the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her primary areas of interest are network based intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs), student modeling, and the modularization of ITSs.
