Publicity Manager Job Description
- Developing and implementing
a plan to publicize Crossroads both in print and online
- Submitting Crossroads to appropriate search engines on a regular basis
- Designing flyers to announce calls for articles
- Finding appropriate awards to nominate Crossroads for
- Writing press releases and distributing them (including posting them on the
Crossroads press release area)
- Researching and listing appropriate mailing lists, university research labs
, usenet groups, etc.
for each issue so that calls for articles can be targeted to these
resources
- Acting as liaison between
the Crossroads Editorial Board and the ACM headquarters personnel who
track the popularity of Crossroads
- Recruiting school liaisons
- Maintaining the list of pointers
to Faculty at schools, updating and expanding the list of schools
