Participation

Crossroads is a student run publication of the ACM and as such, its success depends on the involvement of students:

  • Crossroads has several volunteer staff positions open for students.
  • We need Student Guest Editors for each issue we publish.
  • In addition, Crossroads needs student writers, artists, and reviewers for each issue. See the Calls for Articles below, and also read our Writer's Guide for details about how to format your submissions.
  • We want to have a student liaison in every school in the world!
Please don't hesitate -- get involved!

Feel free to contact Crossroads via email with any questions or feedback you might have concerning our publication. In addition to signing our Guest Book, you can contact us at crossroads@acm.org. Some very general information can be found on the Crossroads Information page.

We are especially interested in receiving review submissions. You can review a computer science related book, video, conference, or web site. Or review some piece of software. These reviews should be between 800 to 2000 words long. For examples, see the reviews we have published previously.

Information about the format and content of articles submitted to Crossroads can be found in the Crossroads Writer's Guide. If you are interested in being a student guest editor for any of the following issues, please fill out our online application. Also, please see our new Copyright Policy. Submission of articles is online. Look at a list of our Calls for Articles to see the issues that we are currently soliciting articles for. For detailed lists of publishing deadlines, see our online schedule.
