This is the first-ever Mid-Summer issue of ACM Crossroads magazine! Welcome to kick-off party!
Don't you just hate it when you're trying to do some task that you've never tried before and there just aren't any good examples around to study? Tutorials can be the answer to your distress call. This issue has a couple of great tutorials relevant to today's student's needs plus a huge helping of interesting columns to keep your mind from completely solidifying over the summer.
These columns include the first edition of the column on networking, Connector, written by Shvetima Gulati. With the influx of networking presence in the computing kingdom, one needs to be armed with knowledge. She will bring it to us in her monthly installments.
In the past, we have had so much material that we released articles online that wouldn't fit in the print edition. This time, the whole issue is online! Spread the word to your friends to come check it out and let us know what you think. Thanks!
