You are ready for the Submission Period if ...
- You are an ACM Student Member. If you are entering the contest as part of a team, all your team mates must also be ACM Student Members (please see exceptions).

- You have registered for the contest through this site.

- You have activated your ACM Web Account.
- You've built a great Java applet.
- You've provided ACM with the URL for your applet and applet documentation (we'll ask you for the URL by email, at the beginning of the Submission Period).
Submission Process details:
- In March 1999, you'll need to provide us with the top-level URL for your entry, along with your name and ACM Student Member number.
To help the Judging Panel evaluate your applet, you must list the following information on your Top- Level web page:
- Your full name
- Your ACM Student Member number
- Your email address
- A brief description of your applet
- A link to the page that hosts your applet
- A link to your documentation in plain text or HTML formats
- A link to a directory or zip/tar file that contains the source code for your applet
- In addition to making the above information readily available on your applet website, you must also provide it via email to jquest@acm.org.
- Please note that Team Entries must have the full names and ACM student member numbers for all team members.
- You are permitted to make changes to your applet during the Submission Period (the entire month of March), but no changes will be permitted after March 31, 1999. All submissions must be the work of a single individual ACM Student Member or a Team of ACM Student Members (please see exceptions). Please keep in mind that no team may be comprised of more than three members.
- Individual registrants and Team registrants will be able to submit Java applets only; Java applications will not be accepted.
- Only one submission will be allowed per individual registrant, and one submission per team. Additional submissions from individuals and/or teams will not be eligible.
- The Judging Period will take place from April 1, 1999 through April 30, 1999, winners verified in May, 1999, and winners posted in June, 1999.
- Key Dates:
- September 14, 1998: Registration Opens
February 20, 1999: Last day to register and/or join ACM
March 1st through March 31, 1999: Submit Applets
April 1st through April 30, 1999: Judging Period
May, 1999: Winners Notified
June, 1999: Winners Posted
