January 18, 2011: ACM Digital Library Displays Multiple Metrics for Individual Authors

Today's Topic: ACM Digital Library Displays Multiple Metrics for Individual Authors
Tuesday, January 18, 2011

The new version of ACM's Digital Library includes publication metrics that track the contributions of scholars to the computing field. The DL's reorganized author profile pages prominently display extensive publication and citation counts as well as download usage volume for individual authors.

These statistics are aggregated from author contributions to ACM-related international conferences and symposia, and all journals, magazines, periodicals and books in the DL from ACM and other publishers. They help to illustrate the impact of particular works and titles by specific authors.

The ACM DL's rich collection of knowledge charts the evolution of computing as a science and a profession. Its newly integrated features, functionality, and content constitute a critical resource for computing professionals who drive innovation in the digital age.
