Today's Topic: ACM Updates Online Book Collections

Thursday, October 6, 2011

The ACM Learning Center has refreshed its Books24x7 and Safari Books Online custom collections of books and videos. You'll find updated editions of some authoritative texts as well as expanded coverage of cloud computing, enterprise architecture, game programming, and user design. In addition, updated Android and iOS programming, and preparatory guides for Microsoft and Oracle certifications are now available.

In the just-released ACM Tech Pack on Enterprise Architecture (EA), you'll find several featured titles including the classic Enterprise Architecture Planning: Developing a Blueprint for Data, Applications, and Technology. Additions to Safari include The Well Grounded Rubyist, by ACM Ruby Learning Path author David A. Black; and Requirements Analysis: From Business Views to Architecture, also found in the EA Tech Pack.

These beyond-the-classroom resources are accessible by ACM members to encourage lifelong learning. The updates reflect current trends in computing and requests received from ACM members. Be sure to check out ACM's full list of Books 24x7 titles and Safari Books Online books and videos.
