E-Mentoring for ACM Students through MentorNet
Participate in ACM’s Mentoring Program
ACM has partnered with MentorNet, the award-winning not-for-profit organization promoting e-mentoring relationships between professionals and students in the areas of engineering, science and math. www.acm.org/mentornet
In as little as 20 minutes a week, your participation in MentorNet’s One-on-One Mentoring Program can make a big difference in a student’s life by providing real-world information, encouragement and advice -- in addition to the satisfaction of enjoying a rewarding experience for yourself.
The ACM MentorNet partnership seeks science and engineering professionals in industry and government, either currently active, on leave or retired, to mentor engineering and science community college, undergraduate, and graduate students.
Tenured faculty members are also sought to mentor graduate students, postdocs and untenured faculty pursuing faculty careers.
Mentoring relationships last for eight months, and mentors and students communicate entirely by email, wherever and whenever they choose.
