New York, NY – July 12, 2012 – The latest articles from ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), the world's largest educational and scientific computing society, are now available from the British Library's Document Supply service. ACM delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources. Now, following licence agreements between ACM and the British Library, the Library's Document Supply service is able to provide electronic articles, up to and including the most recent issues.
The ACM Digital Library is the computing field's premier collection of scholarly information and articles. The licences allow the British Library to supply ACM articles through its copyright fee paid service, as well as via the International Non-commercial Document Supply (INCD) service, to support education and learning. Simon Bell, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Licensing at the British Library, said: "We are delighted that electronic titles from ACM will now be available to our Document Supply customers. By adding this content to the wealth of electronic resources already available via Document Supply we hope to augment our superb offering to researchers."
ACM Director of Group Publishing Scott Delman hailed the agreement with the British Library. "The ACM Digital Library's rich collection of knowledge expands the window on the digital world for British Library customers, with access to ideas and innovations—great and small—that fostered and formed the information age from its birth more than 60 years ago to the present day," he said.
