2016 SIG Elections Schedule

2016 ACM Election Schedule (Internet/Electronic Election)

25 September 2015                           

Nominating Committee Chair Appointed.
1 December 2015

Candidate slates submitted to ACM Headquarters; Candidate slates will be announced via email to the SIG members; a postcard announcing the slate slate and their right to petition will be sent via post mail to those SIG members who do not have an email address listed on their member record.

Slates should also be published in the SIG Newsletters.

11 January 2016
Final candidate slate submission date for those SIGs who missed the December 1st submission deadline.

11 February 2016
Final submission date for candidate bios and statements for those who missed their SIG's bio submission deadline.

15 March 2016         

Notification of intent to petition must be submitted to the Office of Policy & Administration.

31 March 2016
All petitions returned to ACM Headquarters.

4 April 2016                       

Election site goes live. 

SIG members are sent an email notification with voting instructions.

20 May 2016
All ballots due; online election voting site closes.

1 July 2016

Elections completed, all candidates notified of results by or before this date.  Winners take office.

[Please keep in mind that the above dates are "worst case" dates (meaning that these are the latest dates possible for submission of the required information).  Earlier submissions will help to expedite the election process.

*Those SIGs who do not submit the required information in time to meet the January 11th final candidate slate submission date will not be eligible to hold their elections electronically.
