The ACM Distinguished Lectureer Program
is one of the premier technology outreach programs in the computing
industry. In the United States, several dozen distinguished computing
professionals serve as current ACM
Distinguished lecturers each year. These Lecturers give talks
to over one hundred ACM chapters and regional
magnet events. The Lectureship Series is administered by the
Lectureship Advisory Committee as
a free-standing project within the ACM Technology
Outreach Program which, in turn, operates under the auspices
of the ACM Membership Activities
Board.
See how we're doing! Check out our most recent operational
summaries of the ACM Distinguished Lecturer Programs. This
summary provides information on the number of lectures, audience
sizes, etc. Also see the student and chapter feedback on FY1996-7,
FY1997-8, FY1998-9, FY1999-2000,
and FY2000-2001 ACM Distinguished
Lecturers. For an overview of the program, read the welcome
letter from the program Director.
In addition, the ACM Distinguished Lecturer Program serves other
regions of the world as well. In Mexico and Central America, we
offer our Programa
de Conferencias ACM para México y Centro América, while "down
under" we have the Australia
and New Zealand Distinguished Lecturer Program. Keep looking
here for announcements of new ACM/TOP initiatives worldwide!
