Biographical Information

Dr. Elias M. Awad is a chaired professor of MIS at the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia. He has been in Academe for over 40 years in six universities. His many book publications and research papers cover areas in e-commerce, database design, expert systems, Web design, and knowledge management. Dr. Awad has been active with SIGCPR and SIGMIS since 1967. He holds a B.S. (Geneva College), MBA (Tulsa), MA (Northwestern), and a Ph.D (Kentucky). Professionally, he is the CEO and chief consultant of International Technology Group, LTD, with offices in Charlottesville, Chicago, New York, and three foreign countries.
