About Education

ACM Education Board and Council
The ACM Education Board wields final executive and decision-making power to facilitate the work of the Education Council. The Council is a task-force-based, networking-oriented environment whose aim is to promote ACM's educational mission to as wide a range of constituencies as possible: universities, community colleges, high schools, corporations, and the US government.

ACM Education Policy Committee
The ACM Education Policy Committee is a high-level committee of acclaimed computer scientists and educators dedicated to improving opportunities for quality education in computer science and computing-related fields. It develops initiatives aimed at shaping education policies that impact the computing field. A primary goal of the EPC is to ensure that computer science education is recognized in educational initiatives at all levels of the educational pipeline.

ACM Committee for Computing Education in Community Colleges (CCECC)
The ACM Committee for Computing Education in Community Colleges is devoted to advocacy and resources for computing education at associate-degree granting colleges and similar post-secondary institutions throughout the world.

ACM Professional Development Committee and Learning Center
The Professional Development Committee focuses on products and services that support and enhance the professional and technical development of practicing computing professionals, including engineers, architects, IT specialists and managers. It is overseen by the Practitioners Board.The Practitioners Board is responsible for developing programs that support the professional needs of ACM members as well as promoting computing as a profession.
