The "acm.org" Forwarding Service Anti-Spam Policy
The "acm.org" Forwarding Service Anti-Spam Policy
|
|
|
|
In an effort to reduce / eliminate Unsolicited Broadcast Email and Unsolicited
Commercial Email ("UBE/UCE", "Spam", or "Junk Mail") and email viruses:
- ACM offers junk mail and virus filtering.
- ACM members who use their acm.org forwarding service have the option to
customize or
deactivate their junk mail filters.
- Originators of junk mail will be notified immediately via email that
their message has been considered junk mail and will not be delivered.
- Supressed email will either be quarantined and made available to intended recipients
through their Message Center, or tagged and forwarded to their in-box.
- ACM reserves the right to reject all mail from a repeat originator of
junk mail and viruses.
- ACM Members who have junk mail filtering activated should send their unfiltered
junk mail messages AS ATTACHMENTS in email to spam@postini.com. This does not guarantee
that these messages will be filtered in the future, but will make it more likely.
