On Sunday, July 26, between the hours of 03:00 EDT and 11:00 EDT the ACM Email forwarding service was experiencing issues.

March 18, 2012

From 3:05 am EDT to 12:50 pm EDT Sunday, March 18, parts of the ACM site were unavailable.  The Learning Center, Techpacks, Awards, and Join/Renew forms were affected.  Email forwarding service to acm.org addresses was suspended during this period, with messages spooled and released once system availability was reestablished. 

October 7, 2010

From 2:30 PM EST to 7:00 PM EST Thursday October 7, parts of the ACM site were unavailable due to unscheduled maintenance. Affected services included online renewals. The issue is resolved now.

June 16 and 17, 2010

From 5:00 PM EST Wednesday June 16 to 2:00 AM EST Thursday June 17, parts of the ACM site were unavailable due to unscheduled maintenance. Affected services included search on the Online Books & Courses site (pd.acm.org), acmqueue, and XRDS. The issue is resolved now.

March 23, 2010

From 11:30 PM EST Tuesday March 23 to 3:00 AM EST Wednesday March 24, parts of the ACM site were unavailable due to unscheduled maintenance.

Affected services included Online Renewals, the Digital Library, myACM, and the Professional Development Centre.

Email forwarding was not affected.

Lapsed Member Survey List Problem

We apologize for the problems caused by our lapsed member survey email distribution list. Our intention was to gather feedback from our former members. Unfortunately, due to human error, replies from individuals were posted to the list, causing multiple messages to get distributed to you. We corrected the problem and put in additional safeguards to prevent this error in the future.

December 16, 2009

As of 9:30 PM EST Tuesday December 15, parts of the ACM site were unavailable due to required maintenance.

Affected services included Online Renewals; the Advanced Member Grades Nomination, Endorsement, and Tracking applications; the Digital Library, Queue, CACM, ELearn, MyACM, Professional Development Centre, QuickJoin, Account, and Message Center management.

Email forwarding was not affected, but logging in to your folders was not available.

The problem was resolved 4:45 AM EST on Thursday, December 17.

Due to unscheduled server maintenance, there were intermittent problems with the Portal during the morning and afternoon, affecting access. They have been resolved.

Due to unscheduled server maintenance, parts of the ACM site, as well as some sites hosted by ACM, were intermittently unavailable from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM EST Monday August 24. You may have experienced problems when reaching some pages on the acm.org domain, including USACM, blogs, SIGCHI, and SC09 during this time.
Email delivery through email forwarding was not affected.

Due to unscheduled server maintenance, parts of the ACM site were intermittently unavailable from 2:30 AM to 9:00 AM EST Sunday April 12. Digital Library users, members using myACM and Online Books & Courses, and members renewing online also experienced intermittent unavailability during this time.

Due to unscheduled server maintenance, parts of the ACM site were intermittently unavailable from 4:30 PM to 6:59 PM EST Wednesday February 4. Digital Library users and members renewing online also experienced intermittent unavailability during this time.

Due to unscheduled server maintenance, parts of the ACM site were intermittently unavailable from 1:30 AM to 8:40 AM EST Wednesday August 20. Digital Library users and members renewing online also experienced intermittent unavailability during this time.

Login to the Message Center was unavailable from 17:00 Tuesday August 19 to 20:00 EST Wednesday August 20. Email forwarding was not affected.

Parts of the ACM site were unavailable from 12:00 hours to 08:00 hours EST due to unscheduled necessary maintenance. The maintenance affected the domain www.acm.org. All other domains registered under ACM were available.

Email forwarding was not affected.
