The Office of SIG Services works in partnership with ACM's volunteer leadership, developing services and benefits for SIG members that fulfill the technical mission of the SIG and the organizational mission of ACM as a whole.
Providing the support necessary to enable SIG Officers, committee members and conference volunteers to fulfill the duties of their positions, in such a way that they are able to focus on the primary goal of technical excellence.
Providing continuity of communication between the SIG and the other parts of ACM, such as headquarters staff, volunteer boards and committees, chapters, local SIGs, and other societies with whom they may engage in joint activities.

Cappo serves as liaison to the SIG Governing Board and the SIG Governing Board EC and is responsible for managing the SIG Services staff. The staff's mission is to serve as matchmakers between ACM and SIG resources and endeavors, to provide information needed by the volunteer leadership, to be the first point of contact between the SIG volunteers and ACM and to increase staff and volunteer productivity.

This position serves as a direct interface for SIGGRAPH, coordinates all headquarters support for this SIG, and is the key point of contact for all of the activities in which this SIG is engaged. In addition to monitoring those administrative services upon which the SIG leadership depends, this position plays an important role as a conduit of information between the SIG and ACM.
Wilmers-Fried is also responsible for managing the SIG Services staff members who are responsible for conference operations.

ACM's conference activity continues to increase, now sponsoring or co-sponsoring more than 100 events each year ranging in size from 50 to 50,000 attendees.
Nichols is responsible for conference budget activity for all conferences. She works closely with the conference leaders on preparation of budget and shepherds the agreed-upon budget through the volunteer approval cycle.

Ignatoff is the point of contact for all general SIG activities and administration for the SIGs listed above. Questions regarding all SIG issues can be sent to Ignatoff who will answer them or farm them out to the appropriate HQ staff person for response. This position works closely with the Program Coordinator, Conference Operations.

Griscti is the single point of contact for all conference proceedings activities.
Recently, conference leaders have sought more help from ACM HQ with regard to collection and processing of papers electronically. To meet that need, ACM now provides conference leaders with support for three routing methods for proceedings: collection of papers and production by leaders; collection of papers by leaders and production by ACM; or collection and production by an ACM vendor.

This position helps to coordinate the production and distribution of all SIG newsletters and proceedings emanating from ACM HQ, including those in electronic form. Responsibilities include the production, trafficking and distribution of SIG conference proceedings and newsletters. This position also interfaces with the appropriate HQ staff and vendors and helps to maintain the publications database.

ACM and the ACM SIGs consider conference cooperation with outside organizations a serious commitment. This position is dedicated to managing and processing requests, insurance requirements and scientific freedom documentation, securing volunteer leadership approvals and handling all follow-up in this area.
ACM recognizes that the publicity of a conference is extremely important as ACM events compete for attendees with other organizations (for and non-profit). This position is responsible for coordination, trafficking, printing and distribution of all conference promotions and publicity. The staff member is expected to proactively work with conference leaders to produce and distribute promotional materials on time and within budget.
This position also acts as a department administrator handling awards, certificates of recognition and purchase orders.

ACM sponsors and co-sponsors more than 100 events annually. In order to utilize our buying leverage effectively, a centralized position was developed to manage site selection, negotiation and contracting.
This position is responsible for all site/facility request-for-proposals and follow-up. It includes processing the data collection of ACM's hotel history, hotel pick-up reporting (begins eight weeks prior to conference, allowing us to help organizers keep a close eye on penalties as well as last-minute needs for additional housing).
