ACM India Council appoints Dr. Hemant Pande as Executive Director

The ACM India Council has appointed Dr. Hemant Pande as Executive Director starting 1 September 2018. As an invited member of the India Council, Hemant will be working closely with the Council and volunteer community to help grow ACM India in a sustainable manner. His mission includes growing industry participation, initiating new strategic activities, and streamlining and scaling up existing activities.
Hemant has over 30 years of academic and computing industry track record, based in India and the US. His experience includes applied research at KPIT Technologies, TRDDC, and Siemens Corporate Research as well as business-technology roles at Persistent Systems and e-Zest Solutions. He received B.Tech. from IIT Bombay followed by M.S. and Ph.D. from Rutgers University, all in Computer Science.
