ACM India Summer Schools 2018 - Application Deadline 31 March

ACM India is proud to announce ACM India summer schools 2018 after the highly successful summer schools held last year. These schools are targeted at pre-final year undergraduate or master's students. In exceptional cases, PhD students or students in other years may also be considered.

Below are the Summer Schools planned:

  1. Fundamentals for Cryptology Research, from June 4 to June 22, 2018 at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata
  2. Data Sciences, from June 4 to June 15, 2018 at Goa University, Goa
  3. Information Security and Forensics (for Women), from June 11 to June 29, 2018 at PES University, Bengaluru
  4. Graph Theory and Graph Algorithms, from May 21 to June 8, 2018 at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore
  5. Programming Languages: Principles and Practice, from June 04 to June 23, 2018 at Pimpri-Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune

These schools will have intense lectures and hands-on sessions on advanced topics. The aim is to give exposure to recent advances in these areas to bright undergraduate students.

The applicants have to be exceptionally bright as demonstrated by most of the metrics below:

  • marks/grades in the relevant courses
  • recommendation from mentors (the application needs only some names, the selection committee will seek their input)
  • participation in programming or other contests
  • previous internship or research experience
  • any demonstrated self-study experience
  • crisp and focused statement of purpose (in the application)
