Reminder: Deadline 31 August 2021 for ACM India Doctoral Dissertation and Computing Education Award Nominations

Reminder: The nomination deadline (Tuesday, 31 August 2021, 11 pm IST) is fast approaching for the following two ACM India awards:

ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award (DDA)

The ACM India DDA recognizes the best doctoral dissertation(s) in Computer Science and Engineering from a degree-awarding institution based in India. The ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award is accompanied by a prize of ₹2 lakhs. An honourable mention award, if any, is accompanied by a prize of ₹1 lakh. Tata Consultancy Services is the founding sponsor for this award.

ACM India Outstanding Contribution to Computing Education Award (OCCE)

The ACM India OCCE award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the computing education field primarily working in India. The award carries a prize of ₹7 lakhs. The financial support for this award is provided by Microsoft Research India.

An eminent international jury for each award will select the winners. The details of the awards such as timelines, eligibility, evaluation criteria and nomination process can be accessed via the respective award pages above. And while on the topic of award nominations, the deadline for ACM India Early Career Research Award (ECR) and ACM India Outstanding Contributions in Computing by a Woman (OCCW) is also around the corner: 14 September 2021, 11 pm IST.
