Abstract:

To ensure we have enhanced Quality of Service and Experience while consuming networked content, there are various configuration parameters that need to be managed in the backend. This automated management needs to adapt to dynamically changing environmental and network load conditions. Various use cases include: ·

  • Automated p0-Nominal power recommendation
  • Passive intermodulation detection and mitigation
  • Link adaptation
  • Channel State Information compression

This talk will discuss the machine learning, reinforcement learning, and Causal AI algorithms that we have developed for these use cases, for both stationary and moving devices.

Duration:

60 minutes (including audience Q&A)

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Serene Banerjee is a Master Researcher at Ericsson Research. The team is headed by Dr. Anil R. Nair, and has a team of Communication and Machine Reasoning experts. Serene completed her PhD in 2004 from Electrical Engineering, at the University of Texas at Austin, under Prof. Brian L. Evans. She completed her B Tech (H) from Electronics and ECE in 1999 from IIT Kharagpur. At Ericsson, she is focusing on developing ML, RL, and Causal AI algorithms for Radio Access Networks. Prior to Ericsson, she was with Texas Instruments, HP, and Johnson Controls.
