ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award 2022
(For dissertations defended between Aug 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022)
To Be Awarded During the ACM India Annual Event in February 2023
The ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award was established in 2011 by ACM India Council. This award recognizes the best doctoral dissertation(s) in Computer Science and Engineering from degree-awarding institutions based in India for each academic year. The ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award is accompanied by a prize of ₹2,00,000. An honourable mention award, if any, is accompanied by a prize of ₹1,00,000. The dissertation(s) will be published in the ACM Digital Library. Tata Consultancy Services is the founding sponsor for this award.
Each PhD granting institution based in India can normally nominate one student for the award. Institutions that produce more than 10 dissertations in relevant areas per year can nominate two students. Each dissertation nominated for the 2022 award must have been defended successfully between August 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. Note that the cut-off date for dissertation defense has been advanced by a month to June 30, 2022 from this year onwards.
Nominations must be received by August 31, 2022 at 11PM IST to qualify for consideration of the 2022 award.
