ACM-W India Workshop, ACM India ARCS Symposium and ACM India Annual Event, 9-12 February 2022: Call for Participation

We extend a warm invitation to three key events of the ACM India Council, representing and celebrating some of the best contributions to computing from across the world and India. The events will be fully virtual, hosted by PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. ACM-W India Workshop on 9 February 2022, ARCS Symposium 2022 on 10-11 February 2022, and ACM India Annual Event on 12 February 2022 are co-located, with a common registration. Registration is free but mandatory. The virtual link to join the events will be provided upon registering.

ACM-W India Workshop, 09 February 2022

The ACM-W India Workshop on Wednesday 10 February, with the theme “Women in Computer Science Research and Entrepreneurship", creates a platform for sharing of knowledge, ideas and experiences, thereby facilitating the career growth of women in computing. It provides an opportunity for the participants to interact with experienced researchers from academia and industry across the globe, apart from getting to listen to distinguished speakers. The event highlight is a keynote address by the winner of ACM India Outstanding Contributions in Computing by a Woman Award 2021.

ACM India ARCS Symposium, 10-11 February 2022
Connecting student research with career prospects

The 16th ACM India Academic Research and Careers for Students (ARCS) Symposium will take place on 10 and 11 February 2022, virtually. In ARCS (formerly called IRISS), research scholars in Computer Science and allied areas showcase their recently published work to a conclave of researchers and potential employers from academia and industry. This year's edition includes 19 oral presentations corresponding to full papers published in highly ranked conferences and journals and 15 more poster presentations as chosen by an eminent program committee chaired by Prof. Sayan Ranu, IIT Delhi.

The two-day symposium will also host several invited talks - A keynote address by Prof. Amit Kumar, IIT Delhi, talks by early career researchers spanning careers in academia, industry and start-ups, talks by Early Career Researcher awardee and Doctoral Dissertation awardees of ACM India, showcasing the best of research in Computer Science in the country. Two panel discussions providing insights by eminent panelists in Computer Science and allied subjects are a part of the schedule too.

Note: Research scholars presenting at the ARCS Symposium will register through a separate process (not the common registration above), one year ACM membership will be provided for the research scholars presenting at the ARCS.

ACM India Annual Event, 12 February 2022

The flagship Annual Event of ACM India will be held on Saturday 12 February 2022. As usual, it features a star-studded line-up of sessions comprising an interview and live conversation with Alfred Aho (ACM A.M. Turing Award 2020 recipient) and keynote talks by Margaret Martonosi (ACM / IEEE Eckert-Mauchly Award 2021 Recipient), Srikanth Srinivasan (FOCS 2021 Conference Best Paper Award Recipient) and Manik Varma (Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize 2019 Recipient). The distinguished guests include ACM President Gabriele Kotsis and ACM CEO Vicki Hanson. The program will conclude with the ACM India Annual Awards Function, where the winners of the prestigious ACM India awards will be felicitated for their outstanding contributions.
