Please vote in ACM India Council Elections: Deadline 8 June, 2022

June 7, 2022

Dear all,

My colleagues from the ACM India executive committee have previously written to you about the good work happening at ACM India, and requested that you vote in the council elections so that a representative council can continue this momentum. The deadline is fast approaching on 8 June, 9:30 pm IST. Assuming you have received the voting link and PIN (meaning that you are a voting-eligible professional member of ACM in India), I hope you have voted already. If not, I urge you to do so. The mail would have come from [email protected] on 4 May at your registered email address.

We have made an effort lately to increase our communication channels with members and the computing community by spreading awareness of our initiatives through email, social media, our chapter network, and even the personal network. Thanks to this effort, we have a record 13,000 members of whom over 7,000 are professionals.

I also want to provide you with a positive update about our new initiatives for professionals. ACM India minigraphs and bootcamps are the initiatives we have rolled out recently. Since these excellent learning resources fill certain gaps in the overall ACM offerings for professionals, our proposal to globalize them has received a positive response. Let's look forward to when they are adopted worldwide and offered by international experts for a global audience. Stay tuned.

This message and the previous messages from the executive committee members are available on the News/Updates section of the ACM India website. The messages have also corrected some inadvertent omissions from their original mailers. Please refer to them for the recent interesting updates, which should motivate you to participate in this crucial election process!

I'm signing off with a final appeal to vote. Each vote counts in determining the future of the ACM India Council.

Regards,

Hemant Pande
Executive Director ACM India
