Reminder - ACM India Anveshan Setu 2024 Fellowships. PhD Student Visitor Program: Apply by 15 Jan. 2024
Greetings!
If you are a full-time/part-time/sponsored registered CS/IT PhD student in India, here is an opportunity to visit some of the faculty in your area of work. ACM India kickstarted Anveshan Setu in 2020, a Fellowship program to provide an immersive experience for students, allowing students to visit faculty of their choice (mutually agreed among student, advisor and host faculty depending on the research interests) for minimum of four weeks to get an immersive experience of research.
Feedback by 2021 & 2023 Anveshan Setu Fellows who completed the visit: "[I liked] the opportunity to explore and learn how research is conducted in a different and renowned institute by actually experiencing it." "[I liked] interaction with my Anveshan Setu guide mostly on a daily basis." "I like the wide variety of experts available in the Anveshan Setu mentor panel. The initiative itself is very noble and useful. It is a boon to those PhD students who wish to seek continual advice of an external expert on their on-going works."
Program details (including objectives, eligibility, salient features, expectations, tentative timeline, and a template for a No-Objection certificate from the advisor) can be seen at india.acm.org/research/anveshan-setu . Any PhD student (not restricted to ACM members) can apply for this fellowship.
Mentors from these institutes (arranged in alphabetical order) are interested in hosting students. We plan to support up to 50 students in this edition of the fellowship. I am sure you would like to be one of them. Preference will be given to those who have more directly overlapping research interests with the host mentor.
