SERI 2023: Call for Participation
The Software Engineering Research in India (SERI) Update Meeting, conducted annually, is an informal event with the aim of bringing together faculty, students, industrial researchers, and practitioners working in software engineering to present and discuss advances in their areas of interest. The 4th SERI Update Meeting will take place at Goa University, June 2–3, 2023. This event is sponsored by the India Chapter of SIGSOFT Special Interest Group of ACM and by the Government of Goa Directorate of Higher Education. Participation form:

In the form, indicate whether you wish to only participate or to also make a presentation. In case you wish to make a presentation, you must upload a proposalabout the same via the form. The presentation could be on a foundational aspect, algorithm, approach, or experience, focusing on novel or interesting insights, relating to any aspect of software engineering such as requirements, design, development, analysis, testing, verification, or deployment.
The proposal must not exceed one page. The proposal should be in PDF or DOC format. The one-page proposal should explicitly position the problem and proposed approach with respect to state-of-the-art, discuss brief methodology, and mention the associated evaluation if any. The proposal should provide a link to the GitHub repository or artifact package if any exists.
The submission follows a single-blind process, and evaluation criteria includes technical soundness, significance, presentation, and the ability of the work to spark discussion among the audience of SERI.
Important Dates:
Deadline to submit participation form (along with proposal, if any): March 12, 2023
Notification of acceptance: April 2, 2023
Our notification will tell you whether your request for participation is accepted. In case you make a proposal to present, our notification will also tell you whether your proposal is accepted.
Registration and Accommodation:
There will be no registration fee for this event. Participants will need to arrange their own travel and accommodation (suggestions for nearby accommodation options will be provided later on). The committee shall disclose details on partial travel grants for students (if any) at a later date.
