ACM India Webinar: AI in the Physical World
September 8, 2025
Dear ACM India member,
Please join us for the next edition of TCS Research – ACM India webinar series being hosted on Monday, 22 September 2025. No prior registration is required.
The webinar is titled as “AI in the Physical World: Intelligence Beyond the Screen” and will focus on how AI is moving beyond the digital domain to interact, adapt, and co-exist within the physical world – reshaping industries, environments, and human experiences.
Title: AI in the Physical World: Intelligence Beyond the Screen
Brief Synopsis:
Modern Al excels at perception and language understanding, yet its physical integration into real-world environments – known as Physical Al – remains underdeveloped. Current robots often lack generalization, context-awareness, and robustness in dynamic, unstructured tasks like object manipulation and environment adaptation. Overcoming these limitations requires an interdisciplinary approach that combines Al, robotics, knowledge representation, and learning systems.
General-purpose robots capable of perceiving, reasoning, planning, and acting within real-world environments are emerging as versatile collaborative assistants. These range from personal assistive robots for the elderly and disabled, educational bots to industrial co-bots, smart infrastructure maintenance systems and autonomous explorers in hazardous environments. This webinar aims to explore such AI-driven robotic systems that sense, move, and interact with physical surroundings with enhanced autonomy and intelligence.
In this webinar, a panel of experts from industry and academia will bring together diverse perspectives from academia, industry, startups, and research labs to explore "The Future of Physical AI."
This webinar will also feature a keynote talk on ‘Introduction to physical AI and its future impact’ and a fireside chat on "The Future of Physical AI."
