ACM at the UN International Conference on Financing for Development

ACM has been accepted as an accredited organization to hold an event at the UN's 4th International Conference on Financing for Development, 30 June – 3 July 2025, Seville, Spain. ACM members are welcome to attend ACM's virtual side event via Zoom on 2 July 2025, 14:00 - 15:30 CEST.

"Smart Technology, Fair Finance - The Promise and Risks of AI for Sustainable Development,"—moderated by ACM Technology Policy Council Co-Chair Virginia Dignum and ACM President Yannis Ioannidis—will explore how strategic investments in digital infrastructure, ethical AI deployment, and climate-smart technologies can drive more inclusive economic growth. It will also highlight the risks of digital exclusion and unintended harms when AI and digital systems are poorly governed. Drawing on technical expertise from ACM’s global network, the session will connect responsible digital innovation directly to the success of future development finance frameworks.
