Attention Students: Apply for Travel Grants to Attend ACM-IMS Data Science Summit on June 15

NSF funding is now available to pay for conference registration and travel for some US-based graduate students, postdocs, and junior faculty (maximum $1,200) to attend the ACM-IMS Interdisciplinary Summit on the Foundations of Data Science to be held June 15, 2019 in San Francisco. These grants are on a first-come first-served basis, and accepted applicants will be pre-registered. Allowable expenses include economy airfare, local transportation, and hotel. The Summit, organized by ACM and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, will bring together distinguished speakers and panelists addressing topics such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, fairness, and ethics, in addition to discussions about the future of data science and the role of ACM and IMS. Emmanuel Candès of Stanford University and ACM award recipients Jeff Dean and Daphne Koller will keynote.
