ACM Publishes New Journal on Computing and Sustainable Societies
Fields that Support Sustainable Societies Worldwide Among Topics to Be Covered
New York, NY, November 8, 2023 – ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, has announced the publication of the first issue of the ACM Journal on Computing and Sustainable Societies (JCSS), a new peer-reviewed publication. Issued quarterly, JCSS is inspired by the broad agenda of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The journal aims to explicitly promote interdisciplinary research, new methodologies, and studies that address key societal challenges. The editors welcome papers on topics including sustainability, gender equality, health, education, climate change, and economic growth, among others.
Contributions on the ethics of technology, especially from a critical perspective that explores limitations and concerns with technology-led solutions for sustainable societies, are especially welcome. Research articles should be original, innovative, and contribute significantly to advancing sustainability and inclusivity goals.
